The V National Drag-Queen Contest “City of Cartagena” 2020 was held on Monday, February 17 at the Wssell de Paimn Sports Center in Guimbarda, with 12 candidates from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Barcelona and Extremadura and with the presence of the Sevillian singer, Manu Tenorio, to liven up the event.
The gala was conducted by "La plexy", artistic name of the actor and artistic director, Jos de Benito.
The Drag Queen conquered the public for their sympathy, grace and talent during the contest.The triumph was for the Drag Queen Perseidas, as the first lady the Drag Nebula, both belonging to Cartageneras troupes, and the second lady of the contest was the drag Kristo Strabagantha , which came from Seville.
The contest had a great reception with about 1,500 attendees who filled the pavilion to enjoy the gala.
Breaking molds at the Carnival is one of the achievements of the Draqueens gala, so we have seen groups and soloists climb the platforms of a minimum of 15 centimeters to compete for the prizes for the fifth consecutive year.

The gala was attended by the mayor, Ana Beln Castejn, the Councilor for the Area of Culture and Equality, David Martnez, the Councilor for the Area of Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes Garca, the Councilor for Transparency , General Services and Electronic Administration, Alejandra Gutirrez, the Councilor for the Education Area, Irene Ruz and the mayor of the Arancha Prez corporation.
