The deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, has attended this Friday, February 14, the ceremony of delivery of the Gold Medal of the University of Murcia, which has been held at the University Social Center of the Espinardo Campus.
During the ceremony the distinctions were given to the rectors José Antonio Lozano Teruel, Juan Roca Guillamón, Juan Monreal Martínez, José Ballesta Germán and José Antonio Cobacho Gómez.
The ONCE Foundation Medal of Honor has also been awarded.
Manuel Padín wanted to highlight the work of the rectors of the University of Murcia awarded for his great work at the head of the teaching institution during his time as councilors and recalled that the University will always have the open doors of the City of Cartagena for any type of collaboration.
The event was attended by the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, and the president of the Regional Assembly, Alberto Castillo, as well as the current cuts of the University of Murcia, José Luján, and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena , Alejandro Diaz, among other authorities.
