The Local Government Board of the City Council of Cartagena has agreed at its meeting this morning the suspension of the objectives of acoustic quality in the Historic Center to allow the celebration of Carnival celebrations.
The measure, processed by the Councilor for Sustainable City and European Projects, Cristina Mora, contains the corresponding environmental reports of each of the activities programmed by the carnival, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation, and sets a series of corrective measures for make the right to rest of the neighbors compatible with the leisure and fun of these parties.
This indicates the technical conditions that the speakers will have to meet in terms of number and power, and the need to set up the scenarios during daytime and on business days is established.
In the case of San Francisco Square, sound limiters must be available.
The duration of each event is also set to 120 minutes, with the exception of the parade.
Specifically, on Sunday 16, the objectives of acoustic quality are suspended in the Plaza de San Francisco and its surroundings until 3 pm, to facilitate the celebration of morning activities.
On Saturday 22, the objectives are suspended in the area of ​​the Plaza de la Icue and its surroundings until half past twelve at night.
As for the parade, that same day, the objectives are suspended between 18 and 23 hours.
