The Local Government Board, meeting this morning under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the bases for the renewal and admission of new students for the 2020-2021 academic year in the 11 Municipal Infant Schools of the City Council of Cartagena, whose Application deadline will open on February 25 for children between 4 months and 3 years of age.
As pointed out by the councilwoman, Irene Ruiz, it is expected that 577 places will be offered this year from the more than 900 available to these centers, since the renewals of students already enrolled will be about 341.
To access the places, priority will be given to family units registered in the municipality of Cartagena.
The employment status of the parents, the number of members of the family unit, circumstances of disability or single-parent families will also be taken into account to obtain monthly reductions.
The monthly price of schooling will be 105 euros and the dining room price, 88 euros.
In view of economic and family circumstances, discounts will be granted in the public price that can reach up to 75 percent.
The 11 nursery schools have a dining room service to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life and are distributed throughout the municipality.
The deadline for admission of applications will remain open until March 24.
The documentation can be downloaded through the Education website and must be submitted in the centers themselves.
