The 2020 City Council budgets will collect a nominative grant of 50,000 euros for the Algarve Menor with which the Government intends to contribute to maintaining the team in the first division of women's volleyball.
The proposal is justified in the presence of the team in the Women's Super League 1. This morning, the Local Government Board, chaired by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved an aid of 20,000 euros to the club's sports association, as part of the subsidy of 50,000 euros of 2020.
The vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, said that "this decision has been taken through technical criteria to ensure the continuity of the team."
The efforts of the Department of Sports to ensure the permanence of El Algar Sur Menor have resulted in mediation before sports entities, businessmen and administrations.
This has worked with the president of the first football team to find ways of collaboration.
This work has resulted in initiatives such as the loan of the official bus of the football club, which has collaborated in the displacement of the players, thanks to the support of the sponsor Terra Fecundis.
At the same time, steps have been taken before the Autonomous Community, which is studying formulas to financially support the team.
Also, Arroyo has insisted on this importance of mediating with public and private institutions to get a sponsor and that the team can focus on getting the best results on the track. "The Government intends to help the team technically to transform its form legal so that companies have tax attractions to sponsor for the benefit of the club.
