The City Council of Cartagena has installed in the gardens of the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba a 4 meter high metal structure in the shape of a heart pierced by an arrow and ornamented with plant and flower, which will serve for couples in love to be photographed during Valentine's day.
This is an initiative that already launched last year the Parks and Gardens service of the Department of Public Services and Citizen Participation, directed by Juan Pedro Torralba, who tries to turn the garden areas into scenarios of events and commemorations, such as Valentine's Day, thus valuing these urban spaces and transmitting the value of vegetation in everyday life.
Couples who want to commemorate their day by taking a photo next to the metallic heart, with the Consistorial Palace in the background, can do so from Friday 14 and throughout this weekend.
