The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Díaz, met this morning with the president of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region (FMRM), María Dolores Muñoz, to introduce the Muni Network, a project with which the UPCT wants to consolidate its collaboration with all the municipalities of the Region.
With this initiative, the Polytechnic wants to favor the collaboration between the municipal administrations and the University, the transfer of technology, the dissemination of its educational offer, as well as its multiple cultural offer, among other issues.
The rector has set as an example the collaboration between the City of Cartagena and the Polytechnic University, "which is the model we want to export to other municipalities."
For its part, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, stressed that the collaboration is being very positive for the municipality.
“The Polytechnic has the knowledge and technology that we need to move forward and its help is being fundamental for the municipality in matters as important as mobility, the environment or urban planning, among others.
We must export our collaboration model because it is very positive for everyone, â€said Castejón.
