The Department of Youth announces the second edition of the Extraordinary Young Prize that aims to recognize the figure of those and those young people of the municipality who have stood out throughout the year 2019 in different fields, demonstrating a talent and initiative that distinguish them in subjects such as sports, research, social cooperation, commitment, the environment and the arts, among others.
Any young person between 14 and 30 years of age born or residing in Cartagena, who has done their work in the year prior to the call or who has a long career in their category, will be able to obtain the Extraordinary Prize.
The deadline for submission of applications will be 20 business days between February 11 and March 10, 2020.
They may submit nominations for the Prize:
- The City Council of Cartagena
- Entities, associations or schools duly recognized
- A group of citizens, minimum 5, who support the presentation of a candidacy
The presentation of them can be made directly at the Department of Youth, located at Paseo Alfonso XIII, No. 53, CP 30203 of Cartagena, on business days, from 09:30 a.m.
at 2:00 p.m., or by registered mail.
Applications submitted through the Post Offices will be made in an open envelope, so that the name of the Office and the date of submission are clearly stated in the header of the printed bulletin.

The Jury, chaired by the Councilor of Youth of the City of Cartagena will select three finalists and, among these, the Jury will select the winner.
The jury's decision will be final and will have an economic endowment of 1,000 euros.
