The City Council will include in the budget the project to improve the road sign of the Greenway and the renovation of the urban furniture of the path that runs through the old railroad track as it passes through the Peral neighborhood, as confirmed by the deputy mayor yesterday, Noelia Arroyo.

The work will be multiannual and will continue in the next year to complete the comprehensive renovation of the road.

The works will involve the replacement of the current sand and gravel with cement floor to avoid the inconvenience caused by the dust that the wind lifts in the nearby homes and to facilitate the cleaning tasks of the pedestrian itinerary, as said by the vice mayor, who said He met yesterday with the president of the neighborhood association, Eduardo Martínez and part of his board, accompanied by the Councilors for Infrastructure and Decentralization, María Casajús and Diego Ortega.

Arroyo confirmed that Iberdrola's commitment to eliminate the old transformer has been achieved, following a neighborhood demand and that the demolition and cleaning of the buildings of the old pumping station is also planned.

These facilities are in a state of ruin and have suffered several fires.

The councilors collected the demand for a greater effort in the maintenance of the neighborhood and the deputy mayor explained that the City Council is working with the contracts to intensify the cleaning and maintenance work, especially in the neighborhoods where major deficiencies in services have been detected .
