The Official Magazine of the Carnival of Cartagena displays 32 pages in this edition and has had a circulation of five thousand copies.
The Councilor of the Area of Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martnez, was in charge of presenting this year's magazine, last Friday, February 7, "this magazine summarizes well everything that this party means," said the mayor.
The vice president of the carnival, Eduardo Pignatelli, was the one who took the guiding thread of the event, which hosted the auditorium of the Roman Theater Museum and had a great reception.
Until this year, the carnival magazine was released in the press room of the City Hall, but this time it was held next to the presentation of the candidates for queens and ladies this year, generating a large capacity full of illusion by the carnival of Cartagena.
David Martnez began by referring to the challenge he has as a preacher of the Cartagena Carnival 2020, “it is a work that has had predecessors of the stature of Jos Luis Lpez Vzquez and Bibiana Fernndez”, to then talk about the magazine, “which reflects a transgressive carnival ”, as well as the program of events, which the publication collects with photos of the 2019 edition.
“The school parade was released in 2015 and is a success,” he began by saying later to individually refer to the activities, highlighting that it is important that “we already have representatives from Cartagena in the drag-queen contest and it is important to support it the people of Cartagena. "
He continued talking about "the quality of the parades, with beautiful costumes in front as well as behind", the fun of the chirigotas, "with their satire they put the batteries to us all and make us have a good time" and the characters main.
He concluded by inviting the public to disseminate the magazine and highlighting the effort made every year by the great carnival family, "there is a lot of work behind, as well as money with the beauty of the costumes."
The act was completed with the presentation of the seven aspiring adult queen and the six who dream of the children's throne, in addition to inviting the characters Don Carnal (Adrin) and Doa Cuaresma (Ana de Haro) to go on stage.
