The players of the National Tennis Team, who are in Cartagena on the occasion of the elimination of the Federation Cup that is played this weekend at the facilities of the La Manga Club complex, held a meeting at the Sports Palace on Tuesday about thirty Primi Sport athletes of different modalities.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, the Special Councilor for Sports, Diego Ortega and the Special Councilor for Tourism and Business, Cristina Pérez.

During the meeting, the players and players of PrimiSport practiced different sports, in a unique experience for the cultural and sports association that has made a place in the Cartagena society and is an example of integration by demonstrating how far you can get when the darling of some parents takes the form of a solid project, capable of delighting inside and outside the center.

In addition, the players signed tennis balls and delivered a shirt signed by all the players to PrimiSport, and the club did the same by giving one of their shirts to the National Team.

PRIMI SPORT

The inclusive project, after 17 years of life and a broad record, allows more than 50 intellectual disabilities to practice different sports.

Indoor soccer, basketball, athletics, bocce, paddle tennis, pin pon, cross country and swimming, are some of the sports that make up the Primi Sport activity program.

The philosophy of this association is very clear: work for people with different abilities offering the appropriate support that each one needs.

And sport is the perfect way.

FEDERATION CUP

La Manga Club is the complex selected to play the tie of the Federation Cup, since the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) was very satisfied with the result of the Spanish team's visit to the complex in 2018, which is why it has opted for the complex consecutively.

The playoff of the Federation Cup will be a unique sporting event that will bring together many personalities of tennis, as well as fans and game professionals who can buy their ticket to see a live championship of such caliber.

From the City Council of Cartagena, the Department of Tourism has awarded € 15,000 as a sponsor.
