The writer Eloy Moreno makes visible the bullying through his novel 'Invisible' (05/02/2020)

This Wednesday, February 5, the author of the novel 'Invisible', Eloy Moreno, one of the finalists of the Hache prize for youth literature 2020 within the Mandarache project created by the Department of Youth of the City Council has visited the city of Cartagena.

The Councilor for the Area of Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez, explained that they expect 'Invisible' to be quitting the almost 2,000 young people between 12-14 years old who make up the jury of the 2020 Hache Awards and anticipates that the author launches tomorrow his new work 'Earth'.

In the programs of activities planned for these days the author will meet with more than 1,000 readers to whom he will present his novel, starting with the meeting held on Wednesday, February 5 at the Paraninfo and the UPCT with 600 students.

The author of the novel, Eloy Moreno, said he was delighted to have a young audience because "you know that they are not influenced by anything, they tell you the truth."

He explained that many times students ask him questions and reflections on topics that he had not even raised.

The author reveals that the idea of the book arises as a result of the real case of a close person, which inspired him to try to help in this matter through literature, and to make the public see that "the culprit is not only the one who harasses , it's also the people around who look and do nothing. "

In addition, he pointed out that almost everything that happens in the book is based on real cases through stories told by child psychologists.

The author has highlighted the great feed-back he has with his readers, ensuring that he spends about two or three hours answering messages.

He explains that readers have written telling him that "thanks to commenting on the book in his class there have been cases of harassment that nobody knew, if I could help in that I think there is no better prize," concluded the author.

For its part, the IES professor Salinas del Mar Menor member of the Promoter Group, Nora Bravo, stressed that the book is having a great reception among students.

"Together with the other two books, they form an exceptional triad, between fantasy, adventure and such an important topic, such as bullying. Bravo said that with this book many students will be able to see this topic from another point of view, learning to act in situations of bullying, while enjoying narrative games.
