This year there have been 14 young Cartagena recognized in the Extraordinary Awards of the 2018-2019 academic year, both students of Vocational Training, Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate of the Region of Murcia.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz, received students on Tuesday to recognize their effort and work.
The mayor has encouraged them to "undertake a new exciting stage and demonstrate to society that everything that the public administration invests in knowledge and education has a greater return, which is the knowledge acquired in the present and for the future."
The diplomas were awarded last week to a total of 60 students from across the region, at an event held at the Regional Auditorium.
