This year a new establishment is added to the VI edition of the Grandma and Asian Stew Route, which will be held in Los Belones from February 7 to 23, organized by the Department of Commerce of the City of Cartagena and the Association of Merchants of Los Belones, ACOBE.
In total there will be eight stores that will offer rations at cheap prices, stew with drinks included (2.50 euros) and Asians (1.50 euros), on a route that is increasingly consolidated, which has a great reception by of the customers who come and that this year, as a novelty, includes two Indian restaurants to bring some exoticism to the grandmother's stews.
In addition, the route comes again accompanied by a contest in which the people who come to taste the rations, seal the road map and vote to choose the best of these stews and Asians can participate.
The prizes that will be drawn will be a hotel night, a check for fuel and a dinner for two people in one of the participating venues.
The Councilor for Commerce and Tourism, Manuel Padín, stressed that "the intention of the Department of Commerce is to continue promoting from the council all the gastronomic fairs that are held in neighborhoods and districts of Cartagena to further enhance them."
For his part, the president of the Association of Merchants of Los Belones, Carlos Pérez, recalled that it is "an exclusive route that is only done in the Belones" and his partner and vice president, Pedro Conesa, has pointed out the importance of tourism, since "half of the participants are foreigners".
