The Brotherhood of the Blessed Christ the Redeemer and Our Lady of Solitude, from Badalona (Barcelona), received the PASOS 2020 Prize on Saturday. The award has celebrated its fifteenth edition, granted by the Association of Women Brotherhoods of Cartagena since 2006 , to achieve equality between brotherhoods, giving visibility to the work of those brotherhoods, brotherhoods or entities of a brotherhood character, who have carried out actions in favor of the integration of women in them and, in addition, have favored equality in the multiple acts of Holy Week.
The events surrounding these awards took place at the Roman Theater in Cartagena, and featured the presentation of the Councilor for Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez, the Councilor for Tourism, Trade, Health and Consumer Affairs, Manuel Padín, the Councilor Delegate of Sustainable City and European Projects, Cristina Mora, and the director of the Roman Theater of Cartagena, Elena Ruiz.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, was one of the members of the jury in the contest with which Cartagena City Council collaborates.
"In Holy Week, as in all areas, equality is beginning to break through and the Steps Award, organized by the Association of Women Guilds of Cartagena, is a great example of this," said the councilor.
The winning brotherhood of this edition was presented for the tenth time to the candidacy.
It is located in Badalona (Barcelona) and was founded in 1982. According to the presentation document "it has achieved that the woman had a preponderant role in the brotherhood".
The President of the Brotherhood Board of the Holy Week in Cartagena and the Elder Brothers, Francisco Pagán, the President of the Brotherhood of Badalona Stmo Cristo Redentor and Ntra. Mrs. de la Soledad, the presidents of the Brotherhoods of Our Lady of Sorrows of Cehegín and of the Holy Woman Veronica of Elche, the Elder Brother of the Brotherhood of Romeros de San Ginés de la Jara and the Brotherhood of the Brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara, the President of the Processionist Award Association of Year, presidents of groups and institutions cofrades, as well as numerous cofrades.
The activities began with the celebration of a Thanksgiving Eucharist in the Parish Church of Santo Domingo, and with the intervention of the Jesus Nazarene Choir, belonging to the Ntro Group.

Subsequently, the Awards Ceremony for the 2020 PASOS Prize took place in the auditorium of the Roman Theater of Cartagena.
Where the Prize for the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ the Redeemer and Our Lady of Solitude was given, with the special intervention of the group 'Musiquitas' formed by girls belonging to the Sauces Musical Association of Cartagena.
Finally, the guests shared a Spanish wine in the exhibition hall of the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country, in which the attendees were shown an exhibition of posters paying tribute to the brotherhoods, brotherhoods and brotherhoods institutions winning the PASOS Award throughout the fifteen editions convened since 2006.
