The XXVI Theater Contest of Pozo Estrecho will start on February 8 and will last until April 19, with nine performances that will be held at the Civic Center, except for Jesus Christ Superstar, which will take place at the Huerto Fairground Paco Saura
The contest is organized by the La Aurora Theater Group, the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts and the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.
His presentation took place this Wednesday by the Councilor for Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez, the president of the event, César Segura, and the vice president, Francisco García.
The mayor of Culture, David Martínez, said that "this event allows the performing arts and theater to remain alive in Pozo Estrecho, and year after year continue to train actors and actresses in the municipality."
In this edition both local and regional groups participate again, it will be the work 'Infiltrados en Pozo Estrecho' who will kick off Saturday, February 8.
On Saturday 22, will it be the turn of 'Another Quixote +?'
and on Sunday 23, 'Nobody pays here', the following week, Saturday 29 will host 'Mom!'
During the month of March four more works will be represented: 'The circus of old Price, the musical', 'The merchant of Venice', 'And tomorrow what' and 'Goflus Romanicus' to close the event.
All these works will be performed at the Pozo Estrecho Civic Center.
In addition, the replacement of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' will be given at the Paco Saura Vegetable Fairgrounds, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April.
The president of the contest, César Segura, wanted to "thank Javier Lorente for the production of the poster, Maite Defruc, for his work as a sculptor and be the one who gives the award and Beatriz Segura, as the designer of the programs."
For his part, the Vice President, Francisco García, has also expressed his gratitude "to all anonymous people who collaborate selflessly, for example, by giving up the spaces for rehearsals."

A bonus of 25 euros allows you to attend the first eight performances of the contest.
The work 'Jesus Christ Superstar' has a price of 7 euros.

BICENTENARY OF ISIDORO MÁIQUEZ
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, has announced that this event also collaborates in the bicentennial celebration of the death of actor Isidoro Máiquez, so that "his figure is present and is known in the corners of Cartagena, through activities of the local theater groups spread across the municipality. "
