In total, 14 athletes from Cartagena were awarded at the III Sports Gala of the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia (UFDRM), held this Wednesday, January 29, at the Romea Theater in Murcia.
In this third edition, conceived as a meeting and celebration point that allows the gathering of the extensive family of regional sports (athletes, technicians, managers, clubs, collaborators, fans and sponsors), an award was given for each of the 48 sports federations integrated in the UFDRM.
In addition to special mentions to different public and private entities for their support for the promotion of sport in our region.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, presented the prize to the XX World Group Aesthetic Gymnastics Championship, the vice mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, presented the prize to the AD Algar Surmarmenor (Volleyball) as well as gave several prizes from Cartagena and other municipalities the Councilor for Sports, Diego Ortega.
ABOUT UFDRM
The UFDRM, located in the Prince of Asturias Pavilion of Murcia, is a private, non-profit entity, with legal personality and its own heritage, which promotes, practices and / or contributes to the development of the different recognized sports modalities within the scope of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The Federation is governed by Law 8/2015, of March 24, on Physical Activity and Sports of the Region of Murcia, by its development regulations, by its Statutes and Regulations and by agreements validly adopted by the organs of government, and in any other rules that apply to it.
