The Ministry of Health has added a doctor and a nurse to the staff of professionals who provide health care in the office of La Vaguada de Cartagena, which will improve the care of patients associated with this center that has 3,959 individual health cards attached.
This is "an action of the Program of Action for the promotion and improvement of the Primary Care of the Region of Murcia that is being developed by the Ministry of Health to offer a network sized and trained as one of the primary pillars of health and one of the main objectives of the organism to respond to the needs of the users ".
This was highlighted by the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, in a visit made today this center.
It is important, said the head of Health, "to give visibility to these professionals who spend consultation in this center, who provide quality assistance, with proximity and proximity, preventing users from having to travel to other offices or reference centers."
With the incorporation of the new health personnel, the office goes from having two doctors to three and two nurses to three as well.
Thus, the residents of La Vaguada will have 3 Family and Community Medicine consultations, 2 Nursing, 1 Pediatrics and 1 Child Nursing consultation.
For the extension of the consultations, adaptation works have been carried out in the center for an amount close to 16,000 euros.

The office of La Vaguada offers care from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00 hours.
It has a constructed area of ​​440 m2, 394 meters useful on its ground floor, which has been remodeled to divide the area into two blocks with 3 waiting room modules and in which there is also an extraction and priests room.
This health resource is attached to the Los Molinos Marfagones Health Center, which serves the basic area of ​​the same name, with a reference population of 13,593 inhabitants and on which the clinics of Quarries, Cuesta Blanca, Perín, Los Puertos de Santa Barbara, Tallante, La Magdalena and San Isidro.
