The populations of Las Cobaticas and Las Jordanas, belonging to the Cartagena deputation of Rincón de San Ginés, will have a potable water service in February thanks to the works carried out by the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing and Environment, with an investment of just over 205,000 euros.
Some performances that the general director of Water, Sebastián Delgado has visited.
These localities, which are located within the Community Importance Site 'Calblanque, Monte de las Cenizas and Peña del Águila' and have homes and a rural lodging establishment, lack drinking water service and are supplied by reservoirs and tank trucks.
In total there are about 66 homes (18 in Las Jordanas and 48 in Las Cobaticas).
The new network departs from the Barracas deposit, located in Los Belones, and is based on a main conduit, buried in a trench, 2,645 meters, which reaches the core of Las Cobaticas through Las Jordanas, and two secondary branches in Las Cobaticas
The actions include the connection and valves in the tank, suction cups and drains in the conduction and the household connections in cabinets for the subscribers, as well as the replacement of the services affected by the works.
