The Homeless Assistance Service and Passengers attended this Thursday six people in a street situation during a visit, within their usual route, to attend people in a situation of social exclusion within the special device that is launched during the winter months, in anticipation of low temperatures.
The Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes García, accompanied on Thursday night technicians of this municipal service and a group of volunteers from Cáritas Cartagena.
The technicians collected all the information to give, in an efficient and fast way, the individualized attention that these people need, mostly beneficiaries of the social resources offered by the City Council of Cartagena.
During the visit, the councilwoman showed her commitment to the volunteers.
"You do an important job," Mercedes Garcia said, recalling that this service is developed throughout the year in a coordinated manner with other social entities, such as the Red Cross, and the City of Cartagena.
