The jury of the XXVIII International Contest of musical composition of pasodobles Villa de Pozo Estrecho already has the titles of those who will compete for the first prize, it is 'San Fulgencio', 'Rosa María Escamilla' and 'La Torre de la Carrova', In addition to two other reserve, 'From band to band' and 'Juana Velasco'.
This was announced on Wednesday, January 22 at a press conference the Councilor for Culture, Carlos Piñana, and the president of the Association of Neighbors of Pozo Estrecho, Sonia Montoya.
The mayor of the Culture Area, David Martínez, has also been present.
Piñana recalled that this contest is already, after 28 years, a benchmark at an international level that the municipal government has very present, “it is a firm commitment, with a long journey and different countries that bring the best of this gender".
The works in competition, which are unpublished, will be announced, like their authors, this Saturday, January 25, starting at 8.30 pm, at the Pozo Estrecho Civic Center, where they will be performed by the Music Band Santa Cecilia of the locality.
As Sonia Montoya has explained, there will be three prizes, the first one, endowed with 1,200 euros, diploma and trophy;
the second prize, 500 euros, diploma and trophy;
and the third prize, of 300 euros, diploma and trophy.
The poster is the work of local artist Javier Lorente.
Organized by the Association of Neighbors of Pozo Estrecho with the collaboration of the City Council of Cartagena.
