The City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Social Services, has put in place the necessary device to serve the homeless of the municipality, in anticipation of strong winds, rains and lower temperatures expected for the next few days, such and as reported by the State Meteorological Agency.
In this way, the services will be prepared to attend to those who need it and transfer them if necessary, while the cold wave lasts in the area that, it seems, would last from the first hours of Sunday 19 until Tuesday 21 January.
According to the special notice of the State Agency, the arrival of the 'Gloria' stormy east of the peninsula and its combination with a powerful anticyclone from Europe, will cause cyclogenesis to be faster, with the entry of a mass of cold air and increasing the adversity of atmospheric phenomena, such as strong gusts of wind and waves, accompanied by locally strong rainfall and even snow in unusual areas.
