Today, Friday, January 17, the Cartagena neighborhood of San Antón has celebrated the traditional blessing of animals framed at parties in honor of its patron.
The parish priest's hyssop celebration has had a large audience carrying their most diverse pets.

This year, when the holiday falls on a business day, and as a novelty, it has been decided to repeat the blessing on Sunday, at 13 hours, if time does not prevent it, the same that has forced to suspend the biker concentration as a precaution that was going to be celebrated on Sunday also in honor of the saint.
Today's Friday has started with a flowery target;
followed by the solemn mass in the church, which has been followed at noon in the square by the blessing of animals, with a subsequent concentration of carriages, culminating the Vermú Dance in the social premises.
In the streets there is no lack of roasted octopus and rolls.
In the afternoon, at 6:00 p.m. the procession of the Patron Saint will take place through the streets of the neighborhood, and at 7:00 p.m. there will be another dance in the social premises and a family raffle.
At 22:00 hours the celebrations of the day will end.
