This Monday, January 20, the third installment of Photo History of Cartagena VOL III, the work of the historian and official chronicler of the city, Luis Miguel Pérez Adán, will be presented at an event that will take place in the multipurpose room of the Municipal Archive, at 19 , 00 hours.
The book continues to offer a succession of articles published in its day by the newspaper "La Verdad", now collected by the Malbec publishing house in its Cartagena Collection series, including 50 new chapters accompanied by 350 images where stories of people, facts and events that have as a plot the city of Cartagena, and provide as a fundamental element the visual image of a photograph, engraving or painting.
In this tour and for this volume, 22 stories have been selected referring to characters born in Cartagena, some known and others practically anonymous, of which six are women with surprising stories.
In addition, fourteen relevant events are collected in which Cartagena stands as the protagonist of events that, in most cases, transcend the local sphere to become the country's living history.
To get to know better places of Cartagena, nine articles are included where spaces are shown today, images that become documents with historical value that help illustrate part of the collective memory of a city.
Finally, this III Volume does not forget the so-called Black Chronicle, lucid facts and macabre, five snapshots that are also part of the Photo History of Cartagena.

Luís Miguel Pérez Adán, (Cartagena, 1961) has a degree in Geography and History, specializing in Ancient History and Archeology from the University of Murcia.
