On Tuesday, January 14, the Association of Women Brotherhoods of Cartagena presented the award of the XV edition of the 2020 Steps Award to the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ the Redeemer and Our Lady of Solitude, a recognition that has been made since 2006 to make visible the work of those brotherhoods, brotherhoods or entities of a brotherly character, who have carried out actions in favor of the integration of women in them, and have favored equality in the multiple acts of Holy Week.
The Councilor for Equality, Culture and Youth, David Martínez, has been one of the members of the jury in the contest with which City Hall collaborates and stressed that "in Holy Week, as in all areas, equality is beginning to break through and the Steps Award, organized by the Association of Women Guilds of Cartagena, is a great example of that. "
BROTHERHOOD OF THE HOLY CHRIST REDEEMER AND OUR LADY OF LONELINESS
The winning brotherhood was presented for the tenth time to the candidacy.
It is located in Badalona (Barcelona) and was founded in 1982. According to the presentation document "it has achieved that the woman had a preponderant role in the brotherhood, so for example, since the first processional departure the courtship steps have always been taken by mixed crews formed by men and women.
PRIZE AND OFFICIAL DELIVERY
The prize consists of an award created for that purpose, and in no case an economic endowment.
The delivery will be held during a 'Gala' on Saturday, February 1.
