After the last events produced by our pronouncement regarding the RED hours under the Special Dedication Regime agreement in the services of local Police, Fire, Municipal Brigades and sports maintenance personnel, this political party wants to make clear its position of support Unconditional to Police and Firefighters as well as their agreement in the total hours agreed until December 31, 2019.
Our rejection was aroused by the uncontrolled increase in the number of hours previously agreed that were set at 30,000 for Police and 20,000 for Firefighters, which, without supervision by the current government is the one that year after year has been leaving an economic hole difficult to correct.
For this reason and no other, as some media have wanted to understand, VOX Cartagena believed that the precautionary suspension of this agreement was necessary to re-negotiate both the number of hours and their control once the agreed hours have ended.
We reiterate in the same way that such agreements were used by Ana Belén Castejón on the eve of municipal elections for partisan purposes.
We also believe that the increase of new Police and Fire Department positions for the safety of citizens is extremely urgent and thus reach the ratios marked in many studies regarding police and firefighters per 100,000 inhabitants.
