The Municipal Archive has released the document and video for the month of January.
The first, a handwritten letter from Naval engineer D. Jorge Juan and Santacilia on the works of the new arsenal in Cartagena, and the second, the concert that Cabinet Caligari offered in 1990 at the Municipal Sports Pavilion.
As regards the document, it is a letter dated January 1764, in which a report from Jorge Juan is sent to Don Julián de Arriaga, Secretary of State of the Navy, on the visit made to the Arsenal docks from Cartagena in the company of Blas de Barreda and the engineer Mateo Vodopich.
In addition, it informs about the need to modify and expand the dikes of the carenas in order to build six ships with their corresponding arboladura.
In these new dikes you can also manufacture other types of smaller vessels, such as jabeques, pontoons and gangsters or similar format.
As for the video of the month, rescued from Tele-Cartagena funds, recreates the concert that Gabienete Caligari gave at the Pavilion 30 years ago.
This musical formation was a group of Spanish rock, integrated into the current known as Madrid movement, and had an extensive and relatively successful career that lasted for 18 years, resulting in a total of eight albums, two official and diverse compilations singles belonging to his early years.
