As every year, hundreds of pilgrims will take the Virgin of the Light in pilgrimage through the natural landscape of the Rambla de El Cañar, which this year will take place on Sunday, January 12.
The activities will begin at 8:30 in the morning with a mass in the church of Tallante and the departure of the Virgin in pilgrimage at 9:30, accompanied throughout the journey of the songs of the gangs brightening the route.
At 11:00 hours the pilgrimage will be in the Rincon de Sumiedo from where it will continue until Cañar, where it will arrive at 11:30 and will be offered a reception and a mass at 14 hours.
Throughout the day, the dances and performances of the gangs are held, in addition to the chocolate tasting with buns in the morning and the snack at 5:30 p.m. to end the day.
The event is organized by the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and the City Council of Cartagena through the departments of Culture, Celebrations, Citizen Participation and Decentralization and neighborhood boards and neighborhood associations of Isla Plana, Tallante, Rincon de Sumiedo and The Cañar
In addition, the Romería del Cañar has the collaboration of ALSA, HIDROGEA and Hygiene and Cleaning of Cartagena.
