The City Council has installed a new park in the Wall of the Sea for children between two and eight years old.
Open to the public since last Tuesday, December 31, in its configuration a space located a few meters from the old playground has been reused, which was removed due to the deterioration of the materials and their danger.
As noted by the Councilor for the Area of Infrastructure, Services and Coastline, María Casajús, the work "has been certified by an ENAC, accredited and independent that has confirmed through a report that the leisure space is properly installed and in full condition of security".
The playground responds to a demand from the residents of Cartagena and has a green floor and EPDM buffer to ensure safety against falls.
The space has been delimited with a wooden log of 80cm in diameter and includes a modular two towers, walkway, slide and balance rope that offers playability for a total of 10 people.
According to Casajús, having high quality materials in all phases of the project, it offers guarantees that exceed 10 years for all wood components, even rotting and 15 years for all metal such as slides and screws.
In this way, Cartagena and visitors are presented with an adequate and durable space for their use and enjoyment.
