Traffic will be cut on the affected streets of the city center |

There are already more than 2,200 enrolled in the sports event that says goodbye to the year in most of the major cities across the country, San Silvestre, exceeding the figure by more than a hundred compared to last year's participants in Cartagena.

Organized by the City Council of Cartagena and the newspaper La Verdad, it is expected that the great sport party at Christmas time will exceed 2,500 runners, adding those who participate without a race number, although the latter will not be entitled to insurance for injury or accident in the course of the test unlike those who have formalized their registration.

The Town Hall Square will be the meeting point, where runners, companions and anyone who walks through the center of the city on the last afternoon of the year, give out to all participants at 5 pm in the case of the children's test, and Half an hour later at 5:30 pm, the absolute category will do so, with the planned assistance of the Deputy Mayor and Mayor of the Sports Area, Noelia Arroyo, who will kick off.

All of them will tour the main streets of Cartagena flooding as every year the Christmas celebrations with a sporting atmosphere, but also partying with costumes and animations until they reach the City Hall again, where it will also be the finish point.

Thus, this year, which celebrates its 38th edition, it will cross the streets Mayor, Puertas de Murcia, Carmen, Carlos III, Juan de la Cosa, Sr. Francisca Armendáriz, Jaime Bosch, San Diego, Duke, Gisbert, Wall of the Sea, General Ordonez , Canyon, Air, Jara, Campos, San Francisco, Caballero, Charity, Serreta, Park, Santa Florentina, and again Gates of Murcia, Mayor and finish in the Town Hall Square.

TRAFFIC CUTS IN THE CITY CENTER

From Local Police report that after 17 hours, and coinciding with the departure of the children's test, traffic will be cut in the streets of the Park, Serreta, San Francisco, Campos, Jara, Air, Canyon, Wall of the Sea, Gisbert , Duke, San Diego, Sr. Francisca Armendáriz, Juan de la Cosa and Carlos III until the end of the test at around 7 pm.

In this sense, it is recommended to advance the exit and entrance to the car parks of the affected area.

Remember also that on the occasion of the celebration of the 'Tardevieja' in bars and squares of the center, from 13 hours there will be traffic restrictions inside the downtown area of ​​the historic center.
