A toy, an illusion´ of Social Services] | The collection of toys has come to an end this Friday in the same place where it began, the courtyard of the administrative building of San Miguel |
Around 1,800 toys will make this Christmas come true the illusions of some 1,500 children up to 12 years of age in the municipality of Cartagena, thanks to the Christmas toy collection campaign 'Juguetea.
A toy, a smile 'from the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena.
It is the provisional balance that has been made this Friday, December 27 in the courtyard of the San Miguel Administrative Building, where the campaign has been terminated.
Balls, dolls, board games, trucks or construction games are some of the gifts made by the different entities that have participated in the toy collection campaign of this 2019.
The Vice Mayor of Cartagena and Councilor of the Area of Social Welfare, Noelia Arroyo, the second Deputy Mayor, Manuel Padn, the Councilor for Festivities, Juan Pedro Torralba, the mayor of Social Services of Cartagena, Mercedes Garca, and the Councilor Delegate of General Services, Transparency and Electronic Administration, Alejandra Gutirrez, have attended the closing ceremony of this municipal program.
The City Council of Cartagena has had the collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, the UCAM, Practiser, the Spanish Navy, the Regiment of Antiaircraft Artillery, the Marine Corps School, Telecartagena, the General University Hospital Santa Lucia, the Football Club Cartagena and its Foundation, the Jimbee Cartagena Futsal, the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Salsa Street, Critas, ONCE and ISEN, the Cartagena University Rugby Club, the Moto Club Cartagena, Hidrogea and the Warriors of Uxama.
Volunteers from all these entities have been in charge of collecting the toys that have been stored during this December.
The Vice Mayor of Cartagena and Councilor of the Social Welfare Area, Noelia Arroyo, thanked the work of all the institutions involved in the campaign.
“I want to thank the participation, how Cartagena has turned, different companies and institutions, our Spanish Navy, so that children have a toy.
It is very nice to be grateful on these dates.
This success is the result of everyone's collaboration. ”
In the closing ceremony of the municipal Christmas campaign for the collection of toys, the rondalla of the Club de Alores de Alumbres has performed, which has sung typical Christmas carols of these dates.
