Neighbors and social representatives participated this week in the ninth Public Advisory Panel organized by SABIC, which was attended by the director of the industrial complex, Juan Alemany.
The representatives of the company shared with the attendees the main current affairs of the industrial complex.
Among other issues, some issues related to the environment were shared and summarized the Corporate Social Responsibility activities of 2019 that have been especially numerous.
In the educational field, this year the FP SABIC Scholarship Program was launched, the 'I want to be an Engineer' Day was held, the Summer Internship Program was held, 6 programs in 3 centers of the Junior Achievement Program, SABIC participated in the UPCT Engineering Campus and maintained the SABIC - UPCT Chair, visits have been made to five Secondary Education centers and the Miguel de Cervantes Cultural Days have been sponsored.
SABIC has also been very socially involved in celebrating several Open House Days, participating in the first Solidarity March against Gender Violence and sponsoring a variety of local activities and festivities such as the Spring Festival of La Aljorra and Lobosillo on Children's Day, the Festivities of La Purísima and the Cultural November of La Aljorra.
Finally, in the environmental field, SABIC's third line of CSR action, in 2019 the company carried out the Measurement Campaign of La Aljorra, a Waste Collection in Los Nietos and sponsored the UPCT PALS Project dedicated to raising student awareness Secondary school on marine litter and plastic reuse.
The Public Advisory Panel, which has been held for more than two years, is a channel for dialogue between the company and the neighbors, within the company's transparency and social commitment policy.
