The informative commission of Urban Planning and Environment of the City Council of Cartagena, meeting this Monday, December 16 under the presidency of the mayor and head of the Area, Ana Belén Castejón, has initially approved the Municipal Ordinance of Environmental Protection against noise emission and vibrations
And he has done it without votes against, as explained by the first mayor, since the proposal has had the votes in favor of PP, Citizens, the six unassigned councilors and United We Can IU Equo, and the abstention of MC Cartagena and Vox.
For Ana Belén Castejón, the highlight of this normative text is the consensus, on the one hand, extending the public exposure period to 60 days so that any citizen can submit allegations, and on the other, the mayor continued, 'at all times we have been in contact with Hostecar and with all the associations that have wanted to contribute, reflect, analyze or give us their opinion. '
The new noise ordinance is a commitment raised at the beginning of the current legislature from the Department of Environment, directed by mayor Cristina Mora, given the need to adapt municipal regulations to current state regulations, taking into account the large number of events held throughout the year in Cartagena.
After the initial approval and once the public exposure period has elapsed, a working table will be assembled to study allegations, incorporate those that are deemed appropriate and prepare a draft, ending with the final approval by the plenary of the municipal corporation.
