The Agency for Local Development and Employment ADLE of the City of Cartagena has developed, since last April 15, a course on welding with coated electrode and TIG, aimed at unemployed people, with the aim of facilitating their labor insertion, with a total duration 680 hours, which include theoretical-practical training in a classroom-workshop and non-professional professional practice in companies in the municipality.
This Friday, December 13, the president of the ADLE and Councilor for the Area of Employment and Business, Irene Ruiz and its manager, Fulgencio Cerón, have delivered the Certificates of Training and Professional Practice to students who have completed said course.
This training action is funded by the Agency for Local Development and Employment ADLE of the City of Cartagena, the Regional Employment Service and Training SEF of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and the European Union, to through the European Social Fund.
The theoretical-practical training (640 hours) has been given at the Training Center for the Industry of Cartagena, located in the Cabezo Beaza Industrial Estate, with which the ADLE has signed a collaboration agreement by a specialist trainer in this type of welding, from April 15 to November 20.
Meanwhile, that the non-work professional practice, lasting 40 hours, has been developed from December 2 to 12 in different companies located in the municipality of Cartagena.
To carry out these practices, the president of the ADLE, Irene Ruiz, explained that "the Agency for Local Development and Employment has signed collaboration agreements with 6 companies that require welding professionals, such as Navantia, Herjimar, Navec , Caldecar, Arocam and Sacome. "
For the internship, the practice has been provided to a maximum of 2 students for each of the companies.
The development, both of training and professional practice, is based on the premise of 'learning by doing', which enables, at the same time, that students put into practice what they learn in the classroom and on the other , teaches them to function in a real work environment, so it connects students directly with the world of work.
Being a training action aimed at unemployed people, this training is first and foremost an opportunity to improve their qualification and strengthen their abilities.
After passing through it, students get an important change with respect to their previous situation, since it improves their chances of entering the labor market.
At the end of this training action, students will receive the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism of this specialty, which will be issued by the SEF.
