The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the transfer of land to the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the remodeling and expansion of the Hesperides and Saint Lucia institutes.
The municipal land covers an area of ​​eight thousand square meters and is adjacent to the educational centers in the area of ​​the roundabout of the Hospital of Santa Lucia.
In addition, another thousand square meters have been reserved for a road that will allow access from the penetration route to the port.
The transfer will allow the remodeling of the current facilities of the two institutes, which are very deteriorated by the passage of time, and the extension of secondary education in Saint Lucia and those of vocational training in Hesperides, through the construction of new workshops.
