The Santa Florentina Market has been active for more than 60 years, which makes it the longest commercial area in Cartagena.
It consists of 82 shops dedicated to offering food products: fish, meat, sausages, legumes, futas, drinks, as well as organic and vegetarian food.
The member of the Santa Florentina Market Vendors Association, Juan Luis Tamborino, says that the merchants here are “have spent a lot of time in the market” and that the businesses “have passed from parents to children”.
Therefore, behind the premises of this place there are several generations behind.
The Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena supports the activity of the vendors of the Santa Florentina Market within its campaign to promote local commerce.
In this way, the ADLE wants to promote the economic growth of the city of Cartagena.
