The Cartagena Fire Department has a new rescue vehicle, specifically a Toyota Hilux, which will be used for rescues in more inaccessible places such as the mount and half vertical.
This has a simple cabin and box, having as equipment a snorkel for wading in flooded areas, a winch, a crankcase and transfer case protector and tow ball.
The total cost of the vehicle has been 30,340 euros, acquired through UNESPA funds.
This new vehicle will be loaded in order to accommodate the rescue material and the "rescue trailer" will be removed from service, which already has several years of service.
This model will allow a closer approach than the trailer to the places where it has to intervene and better response time.
The Councilor of the Citizen Security Area, Juan Pedro Torralba, has visited the facilities of the Security Park on Tuesday, December 10, where the new model has been delivered.
