The cycle of meetings of the Mandarache and Hache 2020 Awards, promoted by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena, opens with a visit to Cartagena de Llanos Campos on December 17 and 18.

The author comes to present her novel 'The Black Queen' (SM Literature) to hundreds of young people between 12 and 14 years old who make up the jury of this edition of the Hache Prize and come from the more than twenty participating schools.

The planned program will begin on the 17th with the author's meeting with the press at 10 am in the Boardroom of the Campus of the Wall of the Sea of ​​the UPCT, in whose Paraninfo will maintain the traditional meeting with six hundred schoolchildren at 10:30 am .

That same day in the afternoon you will meet young people from the Intercultural Centers in the Graduate Schools and end the day by visiting the Mandarache Bookshop, in the library of the National Museum of Underwater Archeology, ARQVA.

The next day, he will visit IES San Isidoro and finish his program by meeting two hundred students from different schools in the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation at 11 am.

This intense program will allow around a thousand young people to meet the author of The Black Queen, to ask questions and share their impressions about the novel.

This year as a novelty, in the case of the three Hache Prize meetings in the UPCT Paraninfo, it is necessary to point out the special collaboration of the Higher Degree in Socio-Cultural Activities (TASOC) of the IES Mediterráneo, whose students have prepared animations based on the novels finalists in order to boost public input and concentrate attendees on the theme and characters of the novel in question.

The activities of the fifteenth edition of the Mandarache Project for Reading Education and its literary prizes, which have the world's largest literary jury and whose term for registration of reading committees are open until December 20, are inaugurated.
