'The Nutcracker' is one of the great titles of the repertoire of classical dance and a tradition at Christmas time.
In the Auditorium El Batel will stage it on Friday, December 13 (9:00 p.m.), the Classical Ballet of St. Petersburg, by Andrey Batalov.
The work is a fairy tale structured in two acts with a great show in its scenery and costumes, which contribute to the magic of its history.

The Classical Ballet of St. Petersburg is a company founded by the lead soloist of Mariinskiy Ballet, Andrey Batalov (Artistic Director and Choreographer) and Andrey Scharaev (General Director).
His repertoire includes classic versions of the ballets "The Swan Lake" (Red Theater Award for Best Dance Show 2016), "Giselle", "Don Quijote", "The Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty" (Theater Award de Rojas Best Dance Show 2018) and also the contemporary choreographies created by Alexey Miroshnichenko, Emil Faski and others.
The company also has soloists awarded in international Ballet competitions such as: Andrey Batalov, Mikhail Martyniuk, Natasha Kusch, Ekaterina Bortiakova, Nikolay Nazarkhevich, Sergey Dotsenko, Sergey Iliin, Arcadie Nazarenco, Mariana Rusu.
THE PLAY
The story takes place on Christmas Eve, in a German city at the beginning of the 19th century.
The spectator will be faced with the narration that starts from the reality of a well-off bourgeois family, to navigate through dreams through a magical kingdom.
Christmas is a great party at Clara's house, and all children receive a gift.
Clara, her beloved godfather, gives her a beautiful Nutcracker doll.
When everyone goes to sleep, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince, after defeating the army of the King of the mice, will travel through distant lands, finding on their trip with magical snowflakes and sweets from different countries that will dance for them.
An unforgettable night, full of adventures and beautiful characters.
