A total of six teams played on Saturday, December 6, the III Rosendo Carrión Memorial, date on which three years had passed since the death of the Cartagena player after suffering a fainting encounter between CD Dolorense, CD Lapuerta and AD Trinidad in the field of Salesians.
From that date, the championship went on to bear his name, organized as a tribute by the Dolorense Sports Club in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
Thus, the Friends of Rosendo, CD AFCT, AD Trinidad, CD Lapuerta, CD Dolorense and Caballeros Portapasos teams played in the San Juan Bosco field in memory of Carrión.
The protagonists in the day were the four people who provided medical assistance in the event, who were invited by the club to deliver a distinction by way of thanks from the footballer's teammates and family members.
The event, which also discovered a banner in the field with the message 'We do not forget you Rosendo' as a permanent memory of Rosendo, attended the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, along with the Councilor for Sports, Diego Ortega, and the ediles of the Corporation, Alejandra Gutiérrez and Irene Ruiz.
