Extremadura singer Raquel Cantero stars in the last recital of the year at the VII Cartagena Jonda Flamenco Cycle 2019, dedicates her programming to flamenco from Extremadura.
Extremadura singer and guitarist Rodrigo Fernández, both from Cáceres, will perform this Saturday, December 14, at 9:30 p.m., at the Mare Nostrum restaurant, in the Port of Cartagena.
The cycle is organized by the Peña Flamenca de Cartagena Antonio Piñana, with the sponsorship of the Cartagena City Council and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Region of Murcia and in collaboration with the Mare Nostrum restaurant.
Because of her extensive knowledge of the styles and her exquisite handling of the compass, Raquel Cantero is considered one of the most complete and complete vocals in Extremadura, she has a PhD in Flamenco from the University of Seville and she is currently a teacher of singing, in addition to direct the flamenco department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Cartagena.
In this recital, with a Jondo character and Extremaduran roots, the different varieties of native styles will have a leading role, where the public will be able to know and distinguish styles such as the 'jaleos', the 'tangos' and the 'fandangos' typical of Extremadura.
