The Local Police of Cartagena will carry out from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 December a campaign of alcohol and drug control among drivers of the municipality.
It will be done in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic on roads throughout the municipality.
The main objective of the DGT is to try to reduce the positive results of acoholemia in random preventive controls.
Alcohol is present as a concurrent or trigger factor in a third of fatal accidents.
Your presence in driving, depending on your rate, multiplies the risk of an accident between 2 and 15.
The only safe rate is 0.0%.
Not only is it related to a greater accident but it also has a greater mortality, as it is a factor linked to a worse prognosis in the injuries suffered.
According to data from the General Directorate of Traffic itself, driving after the consumption of psychoactive substances is a frequent occurrence in Spain.
Cannabis (THC), cocaine, amphetamines and methamphetamines are the most frequently found substances.
The simultaneous use of substances, which has been shown as a behavior of extreme road risk, is comparatively frequent in Spain.
