The San Juan Bosco soccer field will host next Friday, December 6, the III Rosendo Carrión Memorial in memory of this Cartagena player, who died on this date three years ago after suffering a faint in a triangular football-8 of veterans against AD Trinidad.
It will be from 10.15 am when the homage events organized by the Dolorense Sports Club, to which this footballer belonged, begin, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The events were presented on Tuesday, Day 3 at the City Hall, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Diego Ortega, accompanied by the club president, José Rico, and José Antonio Paredes, member of the board of directors of the Mediterranean Sports Club.
Since that December 6, the championship that was played in the field of the club began to bear his name as a permanent memory of his person.
For the first time, it will feature in this edition with the participation of six teams that will be played in a triangular starting at 11 am.
These six teams will be Amigos de Rosendo, CD AFCT, AD Trinidad, CD Lapuerta, CD Dolorense and Caballeros Portapasos.
This year, in addition, they will pay tribute to the four medical assistance people who were present during the tragic event and who attended Rosendo in the Salesian camp.
On the occasion of Christmas dates, they will carry out a food collection campaign throughout the day so that anyone who wants to collaborate can take non-perishable food containers to the field, which will later be donated to charities.
After the sporting event, and as a final touch, a brotherhood meal will take place where images of the player will be projected during his sporting life as a souvenir.
The tribute began on Saturday, November 30, with a mass in his honor that was celebrated next to Rosendo's commemorative plaque.
