This Saturday, November 30, the Meeting of the new Youth Correspondents selected for this 2019-2020 Course took place at the offices of the Youth Council of Cartagena.
These are 35 students belonging to the 16 institutes of Secondary Education, Vocational Training, as well as students of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, who received training from the Informajoven technicians.
During the day, they visited the departments of the Department and met first-hand the activities and services offered from there to all young people.
The students were especially interested in the Alternative Free Time Program and the Youth Volunteering of the Implica2 Program.
The Personal Advisory Services of the Young Space were also very well received by the correspondents.
They showed a lot of interest in the Mobility Space, where young people are informed of the resources and options to go abroad.
They also received information about the Health and Gender Area.
Another objective of this training was to teach them to find information of interest and the management of the techniques necessary for its dissemination.
During the training, and taking advantage of the fact that students from all the educational centers were represented, they were presented with the Campaign to collect used writing material in which the Implica2 Program participates.
The Campaign is promoted by TERRACYCLE and has the collaboration of the Department of Youth.
The Youth Correspondents will put in their centers a collection point and will make it known to their peers.
The Youth Correspondents are young scholarships awarded by the Department of Youth that, with the support of the Informajoven, keep their partners informed about the activities, services and resources that may be of interest to them.
They are 4th grade students of the ESO, Bachelor, Middle or Higher Education Training Cycles and UPCT university students.
