The Department of Tourism of the City of Cartagena has participated this week in the presentation of destination Region of Murcia in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, through the commercial action organized by the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia and the OET in Oslo, next to the municipalities of Murcia and Lorca.
For three days, the Department and Cartagena Puerto de Culturas have presented Cartagena as a tourist destination to 27 travel agencies with more than 50 Norwegian agents, through its wealth of heritage, archeology, gastronomy, and above all, sun and tourism Beach, which traditionally seeks the Norwegian market, explained the Delegate Councilor for Tourism, Cristina Pérez, who has indicated that "many Norwegians enjoy long holiday seasons on our coast, especially in La Manga."
Pérez has said that in addition to sun and beach tourism, Norwegian tourists are mainly interested in cultural, gastronomic and active tourism, a wide and varied offer that can be offered by the municipality of Cartagena â€and stressed that“ it is a potential market for Cartagena, especially, now that from the Murcia International Airport there are direct flights to the Norwegian capital. â€
It should be remembered that Cartagena was presented as a tourist destination at the Reiselivsmessen International Tourism Fair in 2017, where it was achieved that the Tourist Office of the Spanish Embassy in Oslo had tourist information of our municipality in its own language, which will facilitate the promotion of the Cartagena brand in the Norwegian market.
