Next Monday, December 2, students from the Mediterranean, Ciudad Jardín, Gabriela Mistral and Virgen del Carmen schools will hold the plenary session of the 'Plenary Infantile Municipal 2019' program.
It will be from 10 am, in the Plenary Hall of the Consistorial Palace of Cartagena and will be assisted by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón and the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz.
This program offered by the Educational Programs Unit of the Department of Education of Cartagena to the courses of 6th, consists of 7 sessions that are held in each of the centers with the advice of a technician of the Department.
The program begins with the delivery of teaching material and goes through the information and analysis of a real plenary session, the presentation of candidates and campaign teams, the election campaign itself, the primary elections and the elaboration of motions.
The last session consists in the development of the plenary session in the City Hall, discussing the final motion made by each of the centers on the chosen theme.
This year the topic of debate has been: 'Actions for the Environment'.
The topic of the debate is proposed by the Department of Education among those that generate more interest in the school population.
In this session, all students of 6th Primary Education (about 250 children) participate, some as spectators from the different rooms of the Palace and others in the plenary hall of the City Hall, those elected in the electoral procedure led to Out in the centers as councilors / mayor, 7 students of each center.
The plenary session is followed in real time by the rest of the school through a link that has been provided to all the centers of the municipality and citizens in general, as is the case with the plenary sessions of the session.
