Apparently, he used his job to counterfeit delivery notes and obtain economic benefits
Supposedly, he would have carried out this criminal practice during the last four years
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'NOTYOURS', to investigate alleged irregularities in the accounting of a waste management company in Cartagena, which has culminated in the clarification of a continuing crime of misappropriation and forgery of public document and with the arrest of the alleged author of the investigated illicit.
The investigation began at the beginning of the month, when the manager of a waste management company, based in Cartagena, reported to the Civil Guard a series of anomalies detected in the statement of accounts, which had generated economic losses close to the environment million euros
The researchers conducted an exhaustive study of the commercial documentation, from delivery notes, to invoices and receipts, among others, where they were contrasting all the details of the merchandise sales, mainly metal materials destined for scrap.
In the documents examined in detail, certain disagreements were detected in the weight of the materials that had been acquired by the company and the economic amount paid by them to customers.
Once the necessary information was obtained, the Civil Guard focused its objective on an employee of the company who had full access to both money, as well as to the management and filing of invoices and delivery notes, so she was emerging as the main suspect.
Once the necessary evidence was obtained, the result of the investigation was brought to the attention of the judicial authority that granted the corresponding entry and registration order at its address.
The Benemérita carried out the examination of the property where she found cash as well as numerous consumer goods such as clothing of prestigious brands, watches, jewelry and other accessories, some of them still with the labels, which were seized and put to disposition of the judicial authority as an indication of the high life train that the woman under investigation was carrying.
The NOTYOURS operation has culminated in the arrest of a woman as the alleged author of the continuing crime of misappropriation and forgery of a public document.
According to the investigation, the arrested woman, allegedly and using her job, modified the delivery notes by altering the weight of the merchandise, increasing it disproportionately, which had generated an economic difference from which, apparently, had been appropriated.
This methodology, developed over nearly four years, had gone unnoticed by those responsible for the company that suffered, which estimated economic losses at nearly half a million euros.
The arrested, the intervened effects and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 1 of Cartagena (Murcia).
