The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, closed today the event organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the arrival of the waters of the transfer of the Tagus-Segura to the Field of Cartagena, where he assured that both irrigators and the regional agricultural sector are “ threatened by the Government of Spain â€�, although he guaranteed that“ they can be calm because the harder the attacks by the Central Executive, the harder the defense of the Government of the Region of Murcia will be. â€�

In this regard, he referred to the recent zero transfer for irrigation decreed by the Ministry for Ecological Transition, "which has contradicted the report of the technicians and that represents a frontal attack on the sector."

He also mentioned the refusal of the Government of Spain to extend the drought decree for the Segura basin, “which is necessary and essential�, based on a report from the State Council “that does not exist�.

"In this case, we are talking about a direct attack and, in addition, with an unprecedented dose of cowardice," said the president of the Community.
