The IES Ben Arabí has ​​received on Wednesday morning, November 27, the presentation of the “Do you come or go? Socio-educational Intervention Program”, aimed at students of Formal and Non-Formal Education, Collectives and Youth Agents and other Collectives of the municipality of Cartagena.

This program aims to bring young people the resources offered by the Department of Youth (Informajoven, Resource Center and Youth Space) as well as training that contributes to their personal development.

The Councilor for Youth of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, has attended the presentation of the program with the Workshop 'Resources for young people in the search for employment: Stand out with your CV', aimed at students of 4th ESO and taught by the Orientation of the Employment Space, María Francisca López.

David Martínez has explained that the program is divided into two parts: "through 'you come', all educational centers, groups and associations will make a guided visit to the facilities and services of the Department of Youth and interact with the professionals who run the various programs so that they know first hand all the resources they have at their disposal and, through 'I go', the technicians of the Department will give various talks and workshops on Leisure and Free Time, Volunteering, the UrbanCT Urban Culture Program , Such as being a Youth Correspondent, Effective Job Search, Sexual Affective Education, Social Networks and Internet, dangers and precautions, Learning to recognize and manage emotions, as well as specific workshops of the Mobility Space such as the Eudoesk Network - European Mobility and others framed within the celebration of the Month of Europe ".

The talks and workshops have the date for the completion of petitions on December 20, 2019 and visits, until May 31, 2020.

The head of the Orientation department of the IES Ben Arabí, María José Ibarra, explained that "the talks and workshops serve as a complementary resource for the tutorials taught at the center".

After the presentation of the program, the Councilor for Youth has met the two students of the IES Ben Arabí, who will be the youth correspondents in charge of bringing the activities and programs of the Department of Youth to the students of the Cartagena education center.
