On Monday, November 25, more than 1000 people took to the streets of Cartagena to protest against gender violence in the mobilization for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The Cartagena Feminist Movement convened this march, which began in the Plaza de España and ended in front of the Regional Assembly.
It is the first time that this demonstration ends before the autonomous Parliament.
Attendees called for the provision of means to implement the State Pact against Gender Violence and greater protection for women in vulnerable situations.

The Councilor for Equality of Cartagena, David Martínez, and the mayor delegate of Transparency, General Services and Electronic Administration, Alejandra Gutiérrez, attended the demonstration on behalf of the Municipal Government.
The mayor of the municipal corporation José López, Jesús Giménez, Aránzazu Pérez also attended.
